Overview
We are seeking an experienced vehicle technician to join an independent garage near Uckfield, East Sussex. The garage has a fantastic reputation within the local and surrounding communities for their care, honesty and quality of service. They are now looking to add another technician to their team.
This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive and enjoyable environment where staff enjoy working.
The details:
- Basic salary up to £38,000 dependent on experience
- Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:30
- 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 08:30 - 12:30
- Enhanced pension

- Occasional overtime
What we are looking for:
- Level 3 qualified technician
- MOT testing licence preferred but not essential
- Experience of working with a variety of makes and models of vehicles
- Main dealership would be a bonus but not essential
- Attention to detail with a quality over quantity approach
- An enthusiastic individual willing to work in a team environment
Roles and responsibilities:
- Servicing and repairs of vehicles as well as other routine work such as wheel alignment, tyre fitting and wheel balancing.
- Occasional engine and gearbox rebuilds
- To work in line with expected deadlines and to advise the service team of any delays
- Communicate effectively with the wider workshop team to ensure work is completed to the highest standard possible
